Heritage Buildings

Shaughnessy Park was part of the City of Winnipeg when it amalgamated with surrounding municipalities to form the City of Winnipeg which came into legal existence on January 1, 1972.

Shaughnessy Park is a small neighbourhood sandwiched between the Canadian Pacific Railway's Weston Yards and Shops and the Inkster Industrial Park. Its residential development was slow, beginning after 1900 (many of which are still standing in the neighbourhood's southeast corner) and continuing into the 1960s and is characterized by modest detached houses. Some commercial property is located along McPhillips Avenue.
