History of Tuxedo

Heritage Buildings
Heritage Resources

Today's Tuxedo neighbourhood was part of the Town of Tuxedo when it became part of the City of Winnipeg which came into legal existence on January 1, 1972.

The Tuxedo neighbourhood features many blocks of large, well-built single-family homes, many dating to the 1960s and 1970s. [1] Commercial development is found on the south side of east end of Corydon Avenue. The now vacated Kapyong Barracks (17 Wing Canadian Forces Base Kenaston) and Canadian Forces housing can be found along Kenaston Boulevard.
