History of Normand Park

Normand Park was part of the City of St. Vital when it became part of the City of Winnipeg which came into legal existence on January 1, 1972.

The area known today as the residential neighbourhood of Normand Park was developed in the 1980s and 1990s, with some newer development occurring in the late 2000s. The neighbourhood includes extensive greenspace along the river bank and Normand Creek, including Henteleff Park which has seen extensive natural restoration in the past decade through efforts of the City of Winnipeg and neighbourhood volunteers.

The Waterfront, 1960 St. Mary's Road, is a large condominium development built in the early 2000s at the east end of Henteleff Park.
