History of Mission Gardens


Mission Gardens was part of the City of Transcona when it became part of the City of Winnipeg which came into legal existence on January 1, 1972.

Mission Gardens is a largely residential district in what was the western portion of the City of Transcona. It includes a number of churches, parks and schools, including Bernie Wolfe School, named in honour of long-time local councillor, Bernie Wolfe.
